Production Facts and Disclaimer Carp pituitary glands are removed from fresh mature carp and then cleaned and dried at Stoller Fisheries. Stoller Fisheries' sole function is as a supplier of a gland which occurs naturally in carp. We are aware that there are holders of INADs (Investigation of New Animal Drugs) who are researching the use of carp pituitary in aquaculture, but the use of carp pituitary in aquaculture has not been approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration or the Center of Veterinary Medicine. It is hoped that a low regulatory priority status will be established for the use of carp pituitary in aquaculture. Neither Stoller Fisheries nor its employees makes any representations, expressed or implied, as to the effectiveness of carp pituitary for any usage whatsoever.
