CUSTOM PROCESSING
Stoller Fisheries, located in northwest Iowa, has a 35,000 square foot production facility with a frozen storage capacity of 1,000,000 pounds, able to blast-freeze 60,000 pounds and cooler storage of 150,000 pounds. This allows Stoller Fisheries to custom produce any product form from freshwater fish.
Services that are available:
Processing freshwater fish under full time Rabbinic supervision which operates in conjunction with strict HACCP standards, Stoller Fisheries has been assigned an export approval number from the United States Food and Drug Administration.
State of the art processing equipment is available to head, eviscerate, fillet, skin and mechanically debone (mince) fish.
Frozen storage is on a minimal basis, dependent on seasonal status. Blast freezing of product is available daily because of four separate sharp freezers where temperatures reach -25 to -35 F.
Private label production and packing of products is also available on seasonal basis.
Stoller Fisheries has company owned tractors and refrigerated trailers for your convenience.
Feature 1:
SOUP BASES AND FISH STOCKS. As a primary processor, Stoller Fisheries is capable of mincing (mechanically deboning) up to 60,000 pounds of under-utilized species of fresh water fish daily. These fish include the common carp, buffalo fish, fresh water sheep head (drum), fresh water sucker (also known as the fresh water mullet) and many other species. There is a growing demand for minced fish to be used as dehydrated soup bases and as fish stocks, and Stoller Fisheries can custom process these fish for your needs. Please direct your inquiry to either Tom Opheim or Larry Stoller.
